About this 1984 Porsche 944

VIN: WP0AA0942EN464277

“Best Handling Imported Car of 1984: All Hail the Proud Victor” - Car and Driver Magazine
The Porsche 944 is the best-handling imported car. It will easily zig past the near great and easily zag with the truly great in their brightest moments of glory… the 944 won overall simply because, in its remarkably complex but also wonderfully integrated way, it has no all-around equal.”
Offered here is a very original, one family owned, low mileage, well cared for Guards Red 944. The current owner’s mother bought it new, and he assumed ownership in 2003. It has been garaged all of its life, never driven in winter, has had scheduled and regular service annually. Most recently (4/23/24), an oil & filter change and complete inspection were done, and the spark plugs, distributor cap & rotor were replaced 4/24/23. The cam and balance shaft belts, their tensioners and idler pulleys were replaced at 34,989 miles. It is in excellent overall condition.
In addition to its long list of standard equipment, options include: Group H38 (which includes A036 Bumpers w/ Impact Absorbers, 185 Automatic 2 Point Seat Belts – Rear,190 Increased Side Door Strength, 218 License Brackets - F/R, 401 Light Metal Wheels, 418 Protective Side Moldings, 425 Rear Window Wiper, 454 Cruise Control, 566 Rectangular Fog Lights – Front), plus leather front seats, limited slip differential, stabilizers and sport shocks, tilt & removable sunroof (with its original cover), and original classic Fuchs wheels. The A/C system has been upgraded to R134a. The original radio was replaced by a modern Clarion RDB465D audio head unit. The driver seat was recovered by Hof Designs in May, 2022.Disclosure: The dash has cracks in its surface.
Included are a complete car cover, the original jack and tool roll, owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, years of service records, a clear Michigan title, and a clear Carfax report (available on request), with no accidents or damage reported.
Why You Need A Porsche 944, By William Clavey, Jalopnik, Published June 16, 2017
“Say you’re looking for a classic, cheap rear-wheel-drive sports car for cruising in the countryside over the weekend, or even whip out for the occasional track day session. You could get an old British roadster, but the headaches that come with those cars have pretty much turned you off by now. And besides, you’re not a mechanic, but an average human being with a normal life, maybe a few kids and a mortgage to pay. All you’re looking for is a cheap way to let off some steam behind the wheel of a machine. You need a Porsche 944.”
