Chevrolet C20 - 3rd Gen (1973 to 1989)

The Chevrolet C20 was a variant of the 3rd Gen C/K introduced for the 1973 model year. The C20, a 3/4 ton, rear wheel drive pickup truck, was offered a wide range of engine options. These engines included inline six, V6, and V8 units whose power ranged from 105hp to 230hp, with drive sent to the rear wheels through manual or automatic transmissions. The 3rd Gen C20 was available in two-bed configurations, with the sleek Fleetside bed or the fendered Stepside bed being the two options. Notable trim offerings included the Silverado and Scottsdale. Starting in 1987, Chevrolet changed the name of the C20 to the R20, to avoid any confusion with the forthcoming Fourth Generation Chevrolet C/K. Production of the 3rd Gen C20 lasted until 1989.
