This highly original 1984 Chevrolet Blazer exudes vintage style and reflects a simpler time. With just 93,762 original miles on the odometer, it has been enjoyed and cherished by one family, looked after by the father and son. The son, a mechanic by trade, took great pride in maintaining and preserving this truck during his life as part of his father's legacy. It is now being sold by his family.
This Blazer has its factory Frost White and Apple Red paint and is powered by a robust 5.0L V8 that sends 160 horsepower to all four wheels through a 700-R4 4-speed automatic transmission and part-time locking differential. This Blazer is loaded with the Silverado package, including high back red cloth bucket seats, power windows and tailgate glass, air conditioning, cruise control, deluxe front and rear bumpers, halogen high beams, and rally wheels. This well-documented truck includes the original sales contract detailing a combination of heavy-duty equipment to tackle the road ahead and the conveniences and comforts of a premium 1980s SUV.
This Blazer comes with a clean CarFax report that indicates the title transfer from father to son in 1992 at just over 57,000 miles. It has spent its life garaged and cared for outside of St. Louis, MO where it was used primarily for car shows as documented on the handwritten vehicle log. A recent third-party inspection confirms that the truck starts, runs, and stops, all as originally designed. It is ready for a new owner who also appreciates classic styling and pride of ownership.
This Chevy Blazer is available in Missouri as a Premium Listing on CLASSIC.COM and is being sold by Parker Frazer.
About the model
The second generation of Chevrolet K5 Blazer was introduced for the 1973 model year. This new generation of K5 Blazer saw large updates to the model, both mechanically and stylistically. Although the model had been produced exclusively as a convertible short-bed pickup fitted with a hardtop, from 1976 onwards, the K5 Blazer featured a half-cab design implemented in part to increase safety. As the second generation was in production for nineteen years, a wide range of gasoline engines were available, including inline six and V8 units; a 6.2L diesel V8 was also offered. Production of the second-generation Blazer lasted until 1991.
