This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 was highly customized and restored by The FJ Company and was delivered to the current owner in 2018. The truck is now powered by a 4.5L inline-six cylinder 1FZ-FE engine that features Haltech EFI and is backed by a five-speed manual transmission. The off-road drivetrain is equipped with part-time four-wheel drive. This custom build is finished in Buffalo Brown with a white roof over a Cocoa leather interior. The build features a raft of modern upgrades, including four-wheel disc brakes, lifted suspension from Old Man Emu, advanced power steering, and LED headlights, and fog lights. Amenities include a Bluetooth-ready stereo, heated Corbeau seats in the front, and heated rear jump seats. A Tuffy center console was also added. The classic steering wheel frames new retro style digital gauges, which report 6,424 miles since the re-build; total mileage is unknown.
A third-party inspection and photographs were performed to confirm the solid condition of this low-mileage custom truck. The cars exterior condition is consistent with the 6,424 miles on the odometer. Just a few minor chips on the front of the hood are the only blemishes to be found. The interior is fresh and shows no wear. All features, including the Vintage Air A/C system, work as they should. The right front tire needs to be replaced, but the inspection also revealed a well-sorted vehicle on its test drive. Included in the sale of the vehicle is a car cover, 2 sets of keys, and an owners manual.
This FJ 43 is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Leawood, Kansas.

About the model
The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 is a variant of the 40 Series. With a slightly longer wheelbase than the FJ40, the FJ43 was produced for a limited number of markets around the world until 1984. Like the FJ40, it was available with the 3.9 liter Toyota F Engine (105hp to 125hp) until 1974 (pre-facelift) and upgraded to the 4.2 liter Toyota 2F Engine (135hp) from 1975 until the end of production (post-facelift). Because of its more limited production and larger cabin configuration, it has become closely followed by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Professionally restored samples have reached some of the highest price points in the entire Land Cruiser market. Prospective buyers should be mindful of the wide-ranging quality and drivability of samples in this market.
