Burgundy 1975 Chevrolet 4x4 Blazer with medium sadle / tan interior with light saddle / tan inserts, black hard top, previously rebuilt 350 cubic inch V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and original factory air conditioning, (not complete and is currently inoperable.) Very clean and practically rust free from New Mexico. Enjoy one of the last fully removable top K5 Blazers ( 1975 was the last year of the fully removable top). Structurally intact undercarriage including, rocker boxes, frame and bed all appear original metal from the factory. The Blazer body is straight and solid with great lines an panel fitment, and was painted burgundy from the original blue and white, several years ago and has held up extremely well. The black hard top was painted at the same time and shows decently, but is solid and complete.
The interior has been updated with retro-cool black interior with light sadle / tan, medium saddle / tan high back leather bucket seats in the front, and show daily wear use. The rear seat is in very good shape with a medium sadle / tan bench leather seats in the rear. The dash, door panels and instrument cluster were also redone. This well preserved K5 4x4 Blazer moderately modified with wheel well flares, lifted and comes with two sets of tires and rims. Currently rolling on rally rims, all terrain white letter radials. The vehicle will also come with the four off road, black over-sized tires and rims seen in all the pictures. So you will receive two sets of tires and rims.
The pervious owner rebuilt the 350ci V8 features a four-barrel Edlebrock carburetor and was originaly factory rated at 160 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque.(I'm sure it has more power than that) Work under current ownership is said to consist of flushing the cooling system, performing an oil change, and replacing the thermostat, starter motor, battery, air filter, spark plugs, and the fuel filter, pump, and lines. Transmission and Transfer Case were completely rebuilt. The entire front end was also completely rebuilt as well: Left and Right Tie Rod Ends, Front and Rear Drag Link Ends, Upper and Lower Ball Joints, etc. Basically all of the front axle steering components, warne hubs, ect. were refurbished at that point.
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly.
First the Good. This vehicle has been in various stages of restoration for the last 12 years. The prior owner did body, engine, and suspension work on the vehicle in Colorado. I reworked the front end, transmission and transfer case on thus vehicle and have enjoyed driving this wonderful piece of history. We both figured we would have the vehicle a long time, so the repairs were made with that in mind. Bad for me, but good for you, my new house in Missouri does not have a garage to keep my classics, so to build that and have a place for my others coming from New Mexico, I need to sell this to be able to lay the foundation to build a garage.
The Bad part. This vehicle needs a few things. First the engine runs, but needs the valves / heads reworked. Secondly, the driver's side window needs to be replaced. In fact both front doors should be replaced with factory Blazer doors. I have located several on the junk yard hotline. It is my understanding that the proper doors will fit properly. The doors have always been wonky on this truck since I have had it. And it was this miss alignment with the top that caused the side window break.
The Ugly. Lastly, this vehicle needs some TLC and the final touches to complete the work that was initiated amd really bring it up to where it belongs. Little things, trim pieces a fastener here and there. Bring it up to the level you are looking for Go vehicle (driver) or show, depends on what you are looking for and what you want to do with this. I will consider reasonable offers.
Again this is a New Mexico vehicle and virtually rust free!
