What’s special about this listing

This is a 2002 Turbo project. It was originally painted Chamonix (off-white), with a black vinyl interior, and was repainted Laguna Seca Blue by the previous owner, as shown in the 2 photos of the car on the road in Japan before we imported it to the US. Then we sold it, and the current owner disassembled it and prepped it for repainting back to its original color during an aborted restoration. It only has 28,200 miles on it, having come from Japan where the traffic's so bad it was hardly driven.

This is the rarest version of the 2002, examples of which have sold for over $200K, and this one is available as a project for the first time from us in over a decade. We will probably never see another one of these for sale as a project ether. So either buy this for cheap now and pay to restore it over time, or else fork-out at least $120K for a completed one--which we also have for sale (on our site at www.2002ad.com). (It's the 'pay now or pay later' decision). The original engine & a replacement 5-speed transmission have been rebuilt, as have many other assemblies (like the dash). It's got a (rare for a Turbo) sunroof as well, and comes with many new parts. Most everything should be there to finish it, and we'll deliver it anywhere in the country for the cost of the car.
