About this 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SLC T-Top Conversion

VIN: 10702310001462

One of T-Top C107 SLC coachwork / Manual Transmission V8

From the Patina Collective selection available now, this very special and unique Mercedes-Benz.

Believed to the only T-Top Mercedes Benz SLC (Targa) in existence and one of the most interesting, early tuner cars available in the market.

Two tone gold and brown body follows the roofline to two side by side steel removable roof panels that make the T-Top. Release is achieved through one lever on each side, like on a Trans-Am, but longer before the TA was released to the public.

Open top look creates a space age appearance and provides the driver with an European situational feel. 3.5 liter V8 is paired to a 4-speed manual transmission adding to the character of uniqueness of this car.

Along the history of the car, it was fitted in the Netherlands with a hybrid propane-gasoline system, which is in the trunk. Retrofit to gasoline only is not difficult as the original hardware is present and the stock fuel tank is available for a very reasonable price.

Brakes will need to be sourced for this car and there is some rust on the body and undercarriage. It is sold as is and as a restoration candidate for the only car of its type. Time, space and other ongoing projects don’t afford us the chance to do it.

VIN is 10702310001462.
