Details
This matching-numbers restored 1972 Buick GS 350 convertible is powered by a 350ci 8-cylinder engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. Stereo tape player, modified bumper for double exhaust extensions, functional hood-air induction, air conditioning, instrument gauges and beautiful aluminum rims and extra wide tires. This car was built in Flint, MI, and sold in Torrance, CA.
Restoration of this car was completed in 2007 A Sloan Museum report has been obtained at this time confirming the as-built condition. The restoration was conservative and limited to body restoration, rechroming, new weatherstripping, body repaint and other wearable items. Originally the car was green with a green interior. The convertible top was replaced. Recent work includes rebuilt original carburetor and replacement of the brake booster, fuel tank and pump and master cylinder, new air condition unit. The dashboard clock is the only instrument and should be considered non-working, the radial spare tire does not match the four tires. The adjustable front seat works greatly and slide front and back when the lever is lifted. The front bumper plastic guards are missing from the car.
