I purchased this Honda Z50 in 2024, but since I'm heading off to college, I unfortunately need to sell it. To my knowledge, I am the third owner of this classic bike. The previous owner took great care of it, rebuilding the engine and refurbishing the whole bike. One of the notable modifications he made was adding an extra gear to the transmission, making it a 4-speed semi-automatic.
Another custom addition by the previous owner is a decorative plate on the back that reads "1971 Z50." Please note that this plate is for show only.
The bike runs and rides great, starting up on the first kick every time. It has almost no underlying issues. The paint is original on the tank and headlight but has some imperfections, particularly on the frame where the previous owner attempted a DIY paint job. There’s very little to no rust on the bike, as I recently went through and cleaned it up. There is a very small in the left side engine case, which I’ve included a photo of for transparency.
Other than these details, everything else on the motorcycle remains original. The previous owner also had plans to make the bike street-legal, so I'm including a set of rear pegs, turn signals, mirrors, and a steering lock with the purchase. Additionally, I’ll be including a paint-matched Honda helmet for the new owner.
This is a great opportunity to own a piece of vintage Honda history with some useful upgrades!
