1971 Alfa GTV 1750
I’ve been collecting cars for years, I had altogether more than 60. I have to say this Alfa GTV has got to be the most fun! Drives tight, smooth and quiet, however with keeping with the updated original suspension, this car is a dream on the turns, I never get tired of how this car handles. Alfa came up with the perfect setup. I am listing all the items that I did to bring this car up to date.
This NO RUST car is perfect, most Alfa’s are rust buckets, this was an original California car. As you see from the undercarriage that there is no signs of rust or repairs, I didn’t undercoat the car, so it shows true of the years on the road. The car has been garage kept and in climate control. The engine was rebuilt probably early 2000’s, it doesn’t blow any smoke, even upon starting. I could have dressed up the engine, however I like the raw look of the engine. Anyone can paint it if they want. It has a couple of small oil leaks, however that is normal for this car. An Alfa specialist told me; that if your Alfa is not leaking, that means that it’s out of oil. The paint is perfect! No orange peel, all the panels are free from Bondo and no waves, it’s a straight car! It’s a joy to wax.
It's an head turner everywhere you go.
I have some service records from the prior owner, I did contact the prior three owners (that want the car back) and have good conversations about the car. I will include all correspondence.
Replaced the original fuel injection with Weber side draft carbs, what a performance difference!, I do have all of the original fuel injection parts in case you want to re-install.
Items that I added. Alfa mats, seatbelts, fog light switch, new tires and rebuilt front calipers, Magnaflow Stainless Steel Exhaust, Trunk Mat, Weber carbs, complete service, installed original steering wheel, weather seals on hood, trunk, doors, tool kit, NO RUST, almost new clutch, rear suspension straps, fuel pump, fuel pump regulator, fuel filter, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, newer electronic ignition,
