Morris Brothers Collectibles is proud to preset this 1970 911T ready for someone who is looking to drive unapologetically. The desirable long hood 911T is finished in its factory aubergine color over a reupholstered houndstooth/black interior. The paint shows signs of previous owners pleasure with rock chips and fading in the front end, a couple minor bubbles on the drivers fender, a ghost of racing stripes past and evidence of previous repaint. This car also hosts a 2.2L engine paired with a 4 speed manual upgraded with a short throw shifter.
This car comes with a story, a story of a young woman living her best life in Southern California through the 70's as proven by her UCLA parking stickers adhered to the bumper. You can imagine the wind blowing through her hair as she cruises the PCH searching for a good beach with a surfboard strapped to the top. The original owner purchased her new and moved to Utah following her time in CA where she drove it work at the University of Utah as proven by the additional stickers in the rear window. This car remained with its original owner before changing hands around 2020 and once more to its current owner who has put it up for consignment with us.
While the exterior may have stories, the interior is ready to tell a new tale. Refinished in a houndstooth pattern on the front seats, the interior presents exceptionally with no signs of cracking or fading on the dash. Tight leather wraps the center spoked steering wheel framing gauges that read just over 1,000 miles. The true mileage is unknown on this vehicle but the engine acts like it is young and spry. SSI heat exchangers were fitted to provide a more spirited throttle response and a clean bill of health was given by our friends over at Verve Vintage Motorworks in Oct. of 2024. Services performed include:
Oil Service
Valve Adjustment
Leak down and Comp. Test (all cylinders showing between 7-9% leakdown which would be considered healthy for this engine)
Noted New Engine Air Filter
Adjusted and Balanced Carbs
Adjusted Engine Timing
Cleaned and Replaced Spark Plugs
Exhaust Fittings Checked
Idle Jets in the Carbs were removed, cleaned and blown out
Windshield Wiper Blades Replaced
Tie Rods Replaced with Turbo Tie Rod Kit with Appropriate Spacers for Fitment
Alignment
Rally Lights Installed
Rear Seatbelts Installed
Fuel Door Fixed
Rear Lighting Diagnosis and Fix
Prior to this listing, Morris Brothers Motorsports performed a front lighting diagnostic as well as replaced all four tires with new Hankook rubber.
This is a car you can feel confident is ready to be enjoyed from the day you drive away.
Ryans Driver Note - This car excites! If you are familiar with a 2.2 from the era, the word "underpowered" likely comes to mind but this car gives off no such emotion. Responsive pedal and notchy direct shifting allow you to really get after it in the corners and have no trouble finding your desired gear. It sounds great, floats a bit in the suspension department but ultimately this begs to be driven and you have no problem giving in to its demands.
