We purchased our cruiser in October 2020 and during our ownership we have replaced the fuel lines and fuel pump along with the water pump, wrapped the headers and replaced header gaskets, and performed general maintenance. From what I had been told, this cruiser started it’s life in Colorado and wound up down in New Mexico where the motor was replaced with a Chevy 350 from a ‘65 Corvette, it was built in 2010 by Edwards Racing Engines in Albuquerque, NM and dyno’d at right around 300 hp, I have the documents outlining the rebuild with a full parts list along with the dyno print out. We also have the full maintenance records for the cruiser dating back to about 2005, all services and upgrades along the way have been documented as best we can. We moved to Montana in 2021 and we had the Cruiser trailered up here from the Bay Area, where it has lived in covered/enclosed parking since.

Our Cruiser has been an absolute joy to own and drive, however it is time to move on to the next chapter of our automotive lives. It starts every time, idles well, and drives how you’d expect an almost 60 year old truck to, the power steering and brakes take much of the guesswork out of our drives and make driving an overall dream. We have not taken her off road besides some forest roads near by our home, we have only used it for weekend runs between towns, hence we have only put on roughly 2500 miles in the last 4.5 years. The last couple years we have only driven maybe 300- 400 miles per summer before storing her for the winter, this is another reason we have decided to sell, I feel like the new owner will be able to use her more then we have. The odometer currently reads 10,612, I believe that has been tracking since the motor swap, the true mileage is unknown. The mileage will go up a little as we will still take her out on the weekends.

We have always used the highest octane available, usually 91, and since we have moved to Montana, we have always run non-ethanol high octane fuel. When stored for the winter, we have treated the fuel, removed the battery and put it on a tender, washed and parked her. Come spring time, we simply hook the battery up, prime the fuel system, and she fires right up just like always, she has been a very reliable classic for us, we have never had any hesitations to just jump in and take a drive.

The exterior condition is overall an 8/10, the body is all steel, no bondo patches or aluminum replacement panels, it has been re-sprayed (long before we purchased) and the paint it in pretty good condition, some small chips here and there, some rust from hardware, but besides that the cruiser is in great condition. The hard doors are in similar condition and the window mechanism works on both doors.

The only oddity we have discovered is that the fuel sensor does not fully seal at the top of the tank, so we typically add 7 gal at ¼ tank and have had no issues with fuel spillage. The horn and wipers currently do not work, but they have before, I figure there is a loose connection somewhere but I have not taken the time to track that down. Honestly, we have never driven her in the rain so the wipers have never been an issue. Besides that, anyone can jump in and take a drive!

I just got her back from the shop for a service and she runs like a champ, idles just right, engine temp stays steady, oil pressure is right on. She is ready for spring cruises!
