About this 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 GT-E

VIN: 8F93W549265

This high-performance GT-E was the top-of-the-line model of the classic 1968 Mercury Cougar family. It’s one of only 182 known to exist, and one of only 23 in this color combination.

A 36-year original barn find with zero rust, this gem was frame-up restored in 2016 to its stock condition, including an original, fully-rebuilt drive train and NOS parts (where needed). The overall quality is superb.

The car is accompanied by extensive documentation associated with every aspect of its restoration and maintenance—with no gaps in provenance—together with the original dealer advertisement, window sticker, and Deluxe Marti Report.

Registered with the Cougar National Database and the Cougar GT-E registry.
