This 1965 Mustang has a C code in its VIN, indicating a 289ci V8 equipped with a two barrel carburetor was original to the car. According to the owner, it still bears a 289ci V8 but not the original powerplant, and in addition, 302ci V8 cylinder heads have been used in place of the stock ones. The odometer was rolled back after the motor was rebuilt in 2018. Therefore, true mileage is unknown but the current mileage is accurate to the rebuilt powerplant. The powerplant is backed by a 3 speed automatic transmission and sends power to the rear wheels. Additional modifications include MSD ignition, headers, a Monte Carlo bar, Weld wheels, aftermarket gauges, and an aluminum radiator. This Mustang is equipped with dual exhaust and a recent refresh of the fuel system, including a new tank and pump. The car resides in Fort Collins, CO.
This 1965 Mustang shows well. The car has undergone some refurbishment at two different stages in its life, according to the owner. The suspension and upholstery were restored in 2008, but the body shows some age with spots of rust in various places. Perforating rust is also present on the undercarriage. The interior of the car is in good condition, however, the shifter is missing the top of its lever. Other missing components include the passenger side mirror, the grill, and the drivers side interior door pull. The car was photographed and inspected by a third-party. The inspection report rated the exterior of the car at a 3.9 of 5 and the interior a 3.8.
