1941 Packard 120 Strait 8 Engine 2 Door Convertible , Original miles at present however it is driven weekly and will in crease , it is used for weddings and Proms , for private use , Is very much a survivor and original pre war production and limited production , This car was bought new by a dealer and remained with the dealer until the 90s , where it under went a make over , Rebuilt motor , Rebuilt transmission and radiator etc , The Body was also striped of paint and repainted as original color in the late 1998-9 , Some 6 years ago the top was completely re upholstered using the original rear glass window not plastic , the seats are as I believe original and in very good condition leather , The top works up and down as it should and is in very good condition , it is a one handle operation as original
Approximately 12 months ago the brakes were all rebuilt along with new Battery , complete new exhaust system and Corker white wall tires , and a special electric primer back up fuel pump was fitted to prime prior to starting the engine if left for a month or longer .
The car is rust free and has never been in a accident to my knowledge
Both doors open and close as they should , all glass is as good as new and no cracks , windows wind up as should
My wife and i have done many trips of up to a thousand miles or more over the years and the car drives exceptionally well , steers and brakes as it should
It has won many car shows , it is in many ways one of the last Art Deco and Humpy Bogart era cars , driving the Packard takes one back to a more gentile era .and will happily sit on 60 mph or more
It has all the Packard accessories of the time that were fitted when it was new , Spotlights bumper guards side lights rear suit case carrier etc
