Established in 1921, Wills Sainte Claire was an American automaker that specialized in the production of luxury cars. The company was founded by C. H. Wills, who was a leading Ford engineer, and the creator of the famed blue oval logo. Wills Sainte Claire was named for its founder and the Saint Clair (with an 'e' added to imply greater prestige) river which ran next to the factory. The company built a range of high end luxury cars that were offered in various open and closed body styles with inline six or V8 power.
