The Vector Motors Corporation, better known as Vector, was an American automotive manufacturer that traces its roots to 1971, when the Vehicle Design Force design house was established by Gerald Wiegert. This company would eventually become Vector, which built a limited run of supercars. Although the company had a troubled existence, Vector was able to produce models such as the W8, Avtech WX-3, and M12. These limited production cars were created with the goal of competing with European heavyweights such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. Very few Vector cars were actually produced, with numerous corporate and financial problems hindering the company.
