The Toyota Corona was produced in Japan for a third generation between 1964 and 1970. The 1965 model marked a return of Toyota to the American market after withdrawing there temporarily in 1961. It was available in sedan, coupe, van, wagon, and hatchback, although the more common variants for the US were the coupe (RT52) and sedan (RT43) body styles. Engine options varied per country, but the common one for the US market was the 1.9L Inline-Four (3R-C), powering the rear via manual or automatic transmission options.
