The Toyota Corolla GT-S (E80 generation) was produced for the North American market for model years 1985 to 1987. The GT-S was a performance focused variant of the Corolla (as compared to the more standard Corolla Sport SR5) and featured a 1.6L I4 (4A-GE), DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) engine rated at 112 hp, driving power to the rear via a manual transmission. The GT-S was available in either coupe or hatchback body styles. In other markets it was known as the Corolla Levin, Corolla Sprinter Trueno, or Corolla GT. Worth noting that many vehicles in this market have been heavily modified, so each sample should be evaluated on a case by case basis.
