Born in Estoril, Portugal, John Tojeiro was the son of a Portuguese father and English mother; he served in the Royal Navy where he quickly became a leading engineer. When the war was over he started working closely with the famous Ecurie Ecosse Team as an independent chassis engineer; where the brand Tojeiro was born. Working along different engine suppliers and coachbuilders, Tojeiro became immensely popular in the racing world by competing at Le Mans, Goodwood and other renowned races. Tojeiro’s biggest legacies are the design of the AC Ace and having the first mid-engine racecar in the EE1. The Tojeiro cars are a true masterpiece with pure racing essence.
