Tempo was a Norwegian motorcycle manufacturer that traces its roots to 1868 when Jonas Øglænd began building a variety of brands of bicycles. Eventually, in 1931, the company's first motorized bicycle was produced under the brand "The World." In 1934 the company became officially known as Tempo. The company built a wide range of motorcycles and scooters until 1972, when production shifted solely to scooters before Tempo finally folded in 1994.
