The first generation of Sunbeam Alpine was introduced for the 1954 model year. The first generation Alpine was offered as a series of sporty roadsters offered in Mk I or Mk III evolutions (no Mk II was made). The Alpine was fitted with a high compression 2.3L inline four engine. The first generation Alpine saw only 1582 examples built before the end of production in 1955. The Second Generation Sunbeam Alpine was introduced in 1959.
