The Studebaker President was a series of cars that debuted in 1927. During its lifespan, the President represented the top offering from Studebaker, built as a full size car until 1942, and then for a brief period as a compact from 1955 until 1958. Studebaker produced the President in a range of body styles over the course of production, including sedan, roadster, and hardtop variants, with all cars being rear wheel drive. Four generations of Studebaker President were built: 1st Gen (1927-1933), 2nd Gen (1934-1940), 3rd Gen (1941-1942), and 4th Gen (1955-1958).
