The Standard Motor Company Limited, more often known as Standard, was a British automotive manufacturer that was established in 1903. Standard built a wide range of cars during its lifespan, including models such as the Thirty, Model S, and Eleven. In 1945, Standard purchased Triumph, before renaming itself Standard-Triumph International in 1959. Standard remained in business until 1968, when the company was merged into British Leyland.
