The second generation of Saab 9-3 was introduced for the 2003 model year. The second generation 9-3 was offered as a sedan, convertible, and station wagon and was powered by a range of naturally aspirated or turbocharged inline four engines. As well as the inline four engine options, a 2.6L turbocharged V6 was also on offer. Production of the second generation 9-3 lasted until 2014, even after Saab has closed down due to the fact the company who bought Saab's assests chose to finish production of most of the remaining shells.
