The first generation of Rolls-Royce Silver Spur & Silver Spirit was introduced in 1980. These sedans were the same model, with the Silver Spur being the long wheelbase version, while the Silver Spirit was the short wheelbase version. The Mark I was fitted with a 6.75L V8 engine and was in production until 1989 when it was replaced by the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur & Spirit Mark II.
