The Rialto was introduced by Reliant in 1982. This three-wheel car became famous not only for its low cost and simplicity, but also for its peculiar design and light weight, which allowed it to be classified as a motorcycle in some countries, making it cheaper to maintain. Drive sent to the rear wheels, the Rialto had a manual transmission and a 548cc inline four engine. This car had three model series depending on its confort and style: Standard, Super and GLS. It was available as coupe, estate wagon, van, and pick-up. The Reliant Rialto was produced until 1998.
