The Panamera Turbo S was a high-performance variant for the 1st Gen Porsche Panamera that debuted for the 2012 model year. The Turbo S represented the top offering for the 1st Gen, with a range of dynamic improvements as well as various design touches. These cars were powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.8L V8 engine that had an impressive output of 542hp that was sent to all four wheels through Porsche's PDK dual-clutch 7 speed automatic transmission. For 2016, the final year of 1st Gen Turbo S production, a limited edition known as the Exclusive Series was offered, with just 100 of these cars built. The Turbo S name would reappear in the next generation Panamera as the 2nd Gen Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
