The 997.1 Porsche 911 was the first evolution of the 997 Porsche 911. Introduced for the 2004 model year, the 997.1 saw significant cosmetic and mechanical improvements over the previous 996 Porsche 911. These famed sports cars were available in a wide range of variants, including the Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, GT3, GT3 RS, Turbo, and GT2 amongst its most notable offerings. Production of the 997.1 Porsche 911 lasted until 2008, when it was replaced by the updated 997.2 Porsche 911.
