The Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 - 964 is the successor to the Turbo 3.3. Although the Turbo variant for the 964 generation was initially launched in 1990 with the 3.3 liter engine inherited from its predecessor, the 930 Turbo, by 1993 Porsche had upgraded its Turbo model to the newer 3.6 liter platform common to the rest of the 964 range. Featuring a KKK K27 turbocharger, the engine was capable of producing 360 PS (265 kW; 355 hp) at 5,500 rpm. Available between 1993 and 1994, and with only 1,500 produced, the 964 Turbo 3.6 is highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike. Two even more powerful and rare versions, the Turbo S 3.6 and Turbo S 3.6 Slantnose were introduced briefly for 1994. For model year 1995, the 964 series was retired paving the way for the 993 Turbo.
