The Porsche 356 C Cabriolet 1600 C was the Base Model variant of the only open-top or convertible Porsche 356 C produced. It was built between 1963 and 1966 as the last convertible variant Porsche offered until the early '80s before the Cabriolet line re-emerged as a body style variant of the Porsche 911 SC and the Porsche 911 Turbo. In some sense, this was the predecessor of the 912 Soft-Window Targa, which was produced between 1966 and 1968, and was the closest thing offered after the Cabriolet line was discontinued.
