Released in the 2021 model year, the Polestar 2 is the second model produced by the Volvo performance branch. Much like its sibling, the Polestar 1, it is a performance electric vehicle, but this time the power is delivered in an liftback sedan package. The 2 is a Battery Electric Vehicle with the standard option originally being front-wheel drive and a single motor with 228hp, but by 2023 rear-wheel drive became standard for the single motor option producing 268hp. The AWD version is powered by two electric motors with three power output options; 402hp, 415hp in the long rage version and a performance variant making 469hp. The single motor versions of the one speed SUVs are said to have a range of over 300 miles.
