Peel introduced their second three-wheel microcar, the Trident, in 1964. An entirely new design from the previous Peel P50, the Trident featured two seats, although it was fitted with the same 49cc engine as the P50. Built until 1966, only an estimated 45 original examples were produced. In 2011, a new iteration of Peel Engineering began making new Tridents based on the original design, but fitted with either gas or electric power.
