The NSU Neckar Special was manufactured by the Italian company Fiat in collaboration with NSU. Production started in 1957 under the Neckar name, which was a sub-brand of NSU for the Italian market. The NSU Neckar Specials were compact cars, easy to drive and maintain. Its features were modest, focused on efficiency and economy rather than performance. These cars were available as 4-door saloons with an automatic transmission and drive sent to the rear wheels. Its engines were small, typically between 600 and 800cc. However, there was a version with a 1.1L inline four engine. The NSU Neckar Special was produced until 1961.
