After several years hiatus from any Z production, Nissan released the Z33-chassis 350Z for the 2003 model year. As the successor to the Z32 300ZX, the 350Z had styling cues harking back to prior generations in an all-new platform. These new cars were powered by a 3.5L VQ-Series V6, and were built in coupe and convertible body styles. The Z33 has proven to be a popular car for amateur motorsports due to the affordable price and ease of modification. During its production run, the 350Z was available in multiple trim levels including a Base Model, Enthusiast, Touring, Track, Grand Touring, and the most notable being the 350Z Nismo. The 350Z was replaced by the Z34 generation Nissan 370Z in 2009.
