The Monotrace was a unique brand of motorcycles produced in France by the company Établissements E. Bonneuil in the late 1920s. The most distinctive feature of these motorcycles was their monotrack (single-track) design, a concept that was inspired by the Mauser Einspur, a German single-track motorcycle that pioneered the idea of fully enclosed two-wheelers. This motorcycle featured a fully enclosed body with a sleek, bullet-shaped design, small side windows and a front windshield for visibility, tandem seating (rider in the front, passenger behind), retractable side wheels to provide stability when stopped and a 500cc single-cylinder engine powered it.
