The second generation of Mitsubishi Eclipse was introduced for the 1995 model year. The second generation Eclipse was offered as a liftback coupe or convertible (Eclipse Spyder) sports car available in front or all wheel drive. Power for the second generation of Eclipse came from a selection of inline four engines: 2.0L, 2.4L, and 2.0L turbocharged. Variants included the RS, GS, GS-T, and GSX. Mitsubishi continued production of the second generation Eclipse until 1999, when they introduced the Third Generation Mitsubishi Eclipse.
