The Middlebridge Scimitar was a limited production car introduced in 1988. After Reliant had ended production of their Scimitar, Middlebridge purchased the rights to the vehicle, before beginning production of their version. Middlebridge's Scimitar featured a range of improvements and modernizations over the Reliant Scimitar, most notably the use of a Ford 2.9L V6 engine. As the updates and modernizations of the Middlebridge Scimitar proved very costly, only a total of 78 examples were built before Middlebridge ended operations in 1990.
