The MG TA is a prewar sports car built with a steel body on a traditional ash wood frame. Most cars were open-topped two-seaters, but a few were built into luxury sports cars by coachbuilders such as Salmons (the Tickford drophead coupe) and by Carbodies (the closed-roof Airline coupe). The TA was powered by a 1.3-liter pushrod four cylinder found in many other contemporary Morris and Wolseley models.
