The Mercedes-Benz 280SLC was a variant of the R107/C107 SL-Class that was introduced in 1974. The 280SLC was offered in a two door coupe body style, and was not available in North America. These cars were the least powerful variant of the R107 SL-Class, and featured a 182hp 2.8L inline six engine that was paired to manual or automatic transmission options to send power to the rear wheels. Production of the R107 280SLC ended in 1981 when Mercedes introduced their S-Class based C126 Coupes.
