The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet is a top of the line luxury variant of the W222 S-Class Cabriolet that was unveiled for the 2017 model year. The S650 Cabriolet carried the famous Maybach name in order to establish the variants ultra-luxury credentials. Based on the convertible version of the S65 AMG these cars were powered by Mercedes' M279 E 60 AL engine, which was a 6.0L twin-turbo V12 engine that had an output of 621hp and 738 lb ft of torque. This massive power was sent to the rear wheels via a 7 speed automatic transmission. Production of the W222 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet was produced in a limited run of 300 units with just 75 of them in the US.
