The second variant of the Mercedes-Benz W111 Coupe to be introduced was the 250SE. Debuting for the 1966 model year, the 250 SE coupe was powered by Mercedes' M129.980 engine. This 2.5L inline six generated 148hp, which was sent to the rear wheels via a standard 4 speed manual transmission, although a 4 speed automatic was optional. Built until 1967, the 250SE Coupe saw a total of 5,259 examples produced.
