The Mercedes-Benz ML550 4MATIC was a variant of the W166 ML-Class that debuted for the 2012 model year. The ML 550 4MATIC was one of the top variants offered for the W166, and was powered by Mercedes' M278 engine. This 4.7L twin-turbo V8 engine had an output of 402hp and 443 lb ft of torque, which was sent to all four wheels via a 7 speed automatic transmission. Production of the W166 Mercedes-Benz ML550 4MATIC ended in 2015, when Mercedes changed the name of ML-Class to the GLE.
