The Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG was a variant of the W463 G-Class that debuted for the 2013 model year. The G65 AMG was originally introduced in Europe and the Middle East, before finally arriving in the US in 2015, where it was branded the Mercedes-AMG G65. These rare top of the line variants were powered by Mercedes' M279 E60 AL engine. This 6.0L twin-turbo V12 generated 602hp and 738 lb ft of torque when it was launched, but the model received a power upgrade when it launched in the US, boosting numbers to 621hp while torque remained at 738 lb ft. Power was sent from the engine to all four wheels via a 7 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Mercedes-Benz G65 AMG lasted until 2018.
