The Mercedes-Benz 230 GE was a variant of the W461 G-Wagen that was introduced in 1992. This was the only petrol - powered variant that was built for the W461 variant. These trucks were available in SUV, pickup, and panel van body styles. The 230GE was powered by Mercedes' M102 E23 engine, which was a naturally aspirated 2.3L inline four with an output of 123 hp and 139 lb ft of torque, which was sent to all four wheels via manual or automatic transmissions. In 1993, when Mercedes changed their naming system, the 230GE became known as the G230. Production lasted until 2001.
