The Mercedes-Benz E320 4MATIC was a variant of the W210 E-Class Sedan that debuted for the 1997 model year. Initially, the E 320 4MATIC was fitted with Mercedes' M104.995 engine, which was a 220hp 3.2L inline six, but from the 1998 model year onwards, Mercedes used their new M112.941 unit. This new engine was a 3.2L V6 that had an output of 224hp and 232 lb ft of torque. Cars equipped with the inline six engine were available with a 4 or 5 speed automatic, while the V6 was paired to a 5 speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels via its 4MATIC system. A rear wheel drive version of the E320 4MATIC was also available and was known as the W210 Mercedes-Benz E320.
