Introduced for the 1986 model year, the 190 E 2.6 was a variant of the Mercedes-Benz 190. The 190 E 2.6 was the only variant of the 190 to be offered with an inline six engine, with power coming from Mercedes' M103.940 unit. This 2.6L inline six engine generated 160hp, which it sent to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmission options. Mercedes produced the 190 E 2.6 until 1993, when the model was discontinued.
