Introduced for the 1984 model year, the 190 E 2.3 was a early variant of the Mercedes-Benz 190. The 190E 2.3 was offered as a four door sedan powered by Mercedes' M102.961 engine. This 2.3L inline four engine generated 113hp, which it sent to the rear wheels via manual or automatic transmission options. One of the longest produced versions of the 190, the 2.3 was built until 1993, when the model was discontinued.
