Maserati introduced a new grand tourer in 1967 called the Ghibli. This front engined car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and is a stunning example of 60s Italian design. These cars featured a 4.7L V8 engine, with later SS models featuring a 4.9L version. While marketed as 2+2, the rear seats were little more than cushions and offered little in the way of comfort or safety. Produced until 1973, the Ghibli coupe saw 779 cars made. Although the most produced of the classic Ghibli variants, the coupe still features a rarity and desirability unique to early Maserati cars.
