The first generation of Lexus RX was introduced for the 1999 model year. Known as the XU10, the first generation of RX was available with one variant, the RX 300, which was fitted with a 3.0L V6 engine. Built until 2003, the XU10 was replaced by the second generation Lexus LX XU30 for the 2004 model year.
